3 am, entering my workroom

The oddity that the sky at night in winter can be lighter than in summer. I now go into my workroom without the lights on & see more than I would've. If there were a moon tonight or snow, I'd understand it. There has been much rain and mist & streetlights reflect the glow which suffuses the darkened air. Against the sky tree branches etched. Prose poetry
From Joan Mazza:

"This is a poem. Beautiful."

Ah :) I should let myself go more. When I try for verse (not through translation) I come up with what I call ditties -- usually satiric or ironic or wry. When I used to translated, I disliked rhyming. It felt frivolous -- I know philosophically this is nonsense, but it's how I feel and that's what counts when you write from deep within somewhere. Ellen

Joan:

"Just work with this some more. Your images are terrific. I think you have something here.

Light and sky not the same on different parts of the earth
Dear Ellen,

What a lovely blog about winter. It seems very dark at night here.

"I love the way you keep in touch with the world of colours, lights and living objects, the way you make us feel the way you feel in your mind and your body. Max."
